EASY VIP BIRRIA INSTRUCTIONS
Making birria is simple with VIP Birria Shot Mix. Just follow these easy steps — no special cooking experience is needed.
1. PREPARE THE MEAT
Cut up to 4 lbs. of meat into large, palm-sized chunks.
For the best results, we recommend beef chuck roast because it becomes tender and flavorful as it cooks.
2. ADD THE MEAT & VIP MIX
Place the meat into a large pot.
Pour the entire container of VIP Birria Shot Mix over the meat.
Once the container is empty, keep it — you’ll use it to measure your water.
3. ADD 7 CUPS OF WATER
Using the empty VIP Birria Shot container, measure and add 7 full containers of water to the pot.
1 full VIP Birria Shot container = approximately 1 cup of water.
Stir everything together well so the mix is evenly combined with the water and meat.
4. BRING TO A SIMMER
Place the pot over medium heat and allow everything to heat until the broth begins to simmer or gently boil.
Give it a good stir as it heats.
5. ADD SALT TO TASTE
Once the broth begins to simmer, carefully taste it and add salt to your liking.
Start with a little, stir, taste again, and add more if needed.
6. COVER & COOK
Cover the pot and reduce the heat to low or medium-low.
Cook for approximately 2–3 hours, stirring occasionally, until the meat is very tender and pulls apart easily with a fork.
7. TASTE & ADJUST
Taste the broth one final time before serving.
Add a little more salt if needed. If you prefer more broth, add a small amount of water and let it simmer for a few more minutes.
ENJOY!
Shred the meat and enjoy it as:
Birria Tacos • Quesabirria • Birria Bowls • Consommé for Dipping
That’s it — meat, VIP Birria Shot Mix, water, and salt. We’ve already taken care of the flavor for you.
